Its official! The next book in my annual essay series is currently under construction. As with the previous two it will be a compilation of essays and articles that I’ve written over the past year, along with new unpublished material.
If you haven’t seen or bought the other two you can find them here:
Up to now they’ve sold modestly well and I’ve received many positive reviews and comments from people. As you know I don’t advance any particular political position and try not to engage with the ‘topic of the day’, but rather I intend to immerse readers in stories and subjects which are unfamiliar and strange, as well as thought-provoking. Some of the topics to be covered include: the fat-farms of Mauritania, Chinese shamanism in the Bronze Age, US military anthropology in Afghanistan, the unknown history of the human genome project, the genetic impacts of cannibalism and whether ancient Egyptian mummies contain cocaine! Plus much more!
Excellent. The first two volumes are very good.
